Britain's foreign minister urges Iran to abide by nuclear deal

British Foreign Secretary Jeremy Hunt urged Iran to avoid further steps away from the nuclear deal.

Hunt said in a tweet on Monday that his country would remain committed to the nuclear deal and would use all diplomatic means to reduce tension in the region.

Deeply worried by Iran's announcement that it has broken existing nuclear deal obligations. UK remains committed to making deal work & using all diplomatic tools to deisalate regional tensions. I urge Iran to avoid any further steps away from JCPoA & come back into compliance.

"I am deeply concerned about Iran's announcement that it has breached its obligations under the nuclear agreement," he said.

"Britain will remain committed to the agreement and will use all diplomatic means to reduce the escalation in the region. We urge Iran to avoid and take any further steps away from the joint action plan."
