Expert: "S-400" can not be replaced by "Patriot"

An expert believes India will not back down from buying modern Russian air defense.

India has announced its intention to buy S-400 anti-aircraft missile systems from Russia. The United States offered India to buy US Patriot systems instead of Russian systems and threatened to punish India if it refused to import Patriot systems.

It is known that India intends to tell Washington that it will not abandon the purchase of the "S-400" in favor of Patriot.

The Russian military expert Oleg Glazonov told . that he believes that India can not comply with Washington's pressure to buy what the United States offers, noting that the United States is trying to sell an "old product" of the 20th century.

In the eyes of the expert, India can not refuse to buy what is new from Russia to buy what is old from the United States.
