NASA plans to send a mission to a large asteroid in the solar system, containing huge quantities of precious metals such as gold and platinum.
According to the Sun newspaper, the asteroid "Saeki 16" is located between Mars and Jupiter orbits. It is made of hard metal and gold. It is believed to be the major collision during the formation of the solar system.
NASA's first mission to the Saeki 16 is scheduled to begin in the summer of 2022, with its spacecraft reaching the asteroid by 2026.
The asteroid "Saeki 16" is one of the 10 largest asteroids in the asteroid belt and is more than 200 kilometers in diameter and was discovered in 1852.
According to the British newspaper, the asteroid contains gold, platinum, iron and nickel, and its value is estimated at 10,000,000,000,000,000 dollars or 10 million dollars, and in the language of the figures of "10 billion billion dollars."
According to the newspaper, that if the exploitation of minerals on the asteroid "Saiki 16" will cause the collapse of the global economy, and continued "The return of an asteroid of this value can completely remove our global economy."
Scott Moore, who heads EuroSun Mining, said the huge amount of gold on the asteroid would threaten the gold industry on the ground.
"Fortunately, the space agency is flying for scientific purposes and is not planning any mining," the paper said.
The "exploitation of minerals" on the planet and asteroids represents an ambitious plan expressed by some scientists, with speculation that the first person to succeed mining mines will become the first trillionaires on Earth.
If the scientists succeed in exploiting the precious metals mines on this asteroid, and bringing them to the ground for marketing, it means that their prices on the ground will fall very dramatically, and thus it will destroy the global economy, because it will exceed the much that this economy can deal with.
