General Amos Yadlin, head of Israel's military intelligence service, said his country had successfully tested a new missile.
General Amos Yadlin monitored what happened last Tuesday in the US state of Alaska, the successful test of the Israeli missile "Hates 3", with the participation of the United States.
General Amos, who heads the Center for National Security Studies in Tel Aviv, published several tweets on his official Twitter page on Sunday evening, saying that the test was a great achievement for the country, especially with its long-range missile intercepts.
The successful series of Arrow 3 experiments in Alaska has three important meanings: first, technological: an exceptional achievement in missile interceptors from very distant ranges, at high speeds and intercepted outside the atmosphere.

In his first comment,
The successful experience of the Arrow 3 test in Alaska has three important objectives. The first is technological, which is an exceptional achievement, especially as it intercepts incoming missiles from a long range, at high velocities, and is intercepted outside the atmosphere.
He wrote in his second tweet:
The second goal, a political one, relates to the extent of technical and technological cooperation between the two sides, the Israeli and the US, a message that confirms the ability of the United States and its desire to help Israel in missile defense.
The second meaning – political and operational. The technical and operational cooperation and integration of Israeli and American systems in the experiment is a message that emphasizes the ability and willingness of the US to assist Israel in missile defense.

While the third tweet of the former head of the "Aman", as follows:
The third and most important goal is to send a message to the Iranians. That if the Iranians were thinking of a strike against Israel, given the tension in the Gulf, it is important to know that their ability to harm Israel is limited.
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu revealed on Sunday the test of the Israeli missile in the US state of Alaska, which took place last Tuesday.
Netanyahu said:
The US-backed ballistic missile "Hetz-3" has passed a series of intercept tests in Alaska.
3. The third and most important significance – the message to the Iranians. If the Iranians are considering harming Israel, given the tension in the Gulf, it is important that they know that their ability to harm Israel is limited.
Full appreciation to the Arrow 3 developers, the Air Force fighters and anyone who promoted the integration of the operational forces with the US to strengthen Israel's security.

The Israeli prime minister published on his official account on Twitter a picture of him with US Ambassador to Israel David Friedman, who were watching at the start of the weekly cabinet meeting, "How did the H-3 missile intercept ballistic missiles during successful and secret tests conducted in Alaska? In cooperation with the American Missile Defense Agency, "Netanyahu said on his official account on Twitter.
Arrow-3 was manufactured in partnership with the US company Boeing Co, and was said to be capable of dropping missiles coming from space, an altitude that would destroy any non-conventional warheads safely. The missile passed its first full intercept test on the Mediterranean Sea in 2015 and was published in Israel in 2017.
Netanyahu, who is also the Israeli defense minister, said in a statement on the three secret tests, and said:
The performance was excellent. Every strike was fantastic.
Israel is looking at "Arrow 3" as an anti-ballistic missile launched by Iran and Syria, at a time when Iran is engaged in an escalating confrontation with the United States over its nuclear program and missile projects.

Washington said last week it appeared Iran had tested a medium-range ballistic missile that flew about 1,000 kilometers away. Tehran said the tests were for defense needs.
This action required Netanyahu's response, which said on Sunday:
Israel today has the capability to work against the ballistic missiles fired from Iran and elsewhere, and all our enemies must know that we can achieve the best results for them, both defensive and offensive.
Arrow-3 trials were expected in Alaska last year, but were postponed, following previous difficulties in testing the system.
Prime Minister reveals: We have conducted successful secret tests of surfaces intercepting ballistic missiles outside the atmosphere of the globe. The first full trial, scheduled for 2014, was thwarted because of what the designers said was a wrong trip by the target rocket. Israeli follow-up tests were also canceled in late 2017 and early 2018 at short notice due to technical problems.
Israel and the United States viewed the success of the system in Alaska as a sign of the strength of their alliance. The US ambassador to Israel, David Friedman, attended today's meeting of the Netanyahu government, where he and the ministers watched a video about an interceptor from Alaska.

The Israeli Defense Ministry said that as part of the Alaska tests, Arrow-3 was successfully synchronized with the AN-TPY2 radar – also known as the X-band – which provides the United States with global coverage. Israel is hosting an X-band battery.
Deputy Admiral John Hill, director of the Pentagon's Missile Defense Agency, said in a statement:
We are committed to helping the Government of Israel develop its national missile defense capabilities to defend the State of Israel and deploy US forces against emerging threats.
