The Viking missile system becomes stronger

Breaking news-

The Russian air defense complex 9K317A Viking, the export version of the Bok-M3, was introduced earlier this year for the first time. The system currently designed by the military-industrial complex is one of the best air defense systems in the world.

However, the designers did not stop there, and the launch pad 9A 383A has been declassified this year at the International Military Technical Forum "Armia-2019". It is intended for the transport and use of 9M83MA anti-aircraft guided missiles, which were previously used in heavier S-300V air defense systems.

The combat vehicle is built on a tracked structure similar to that of the Bock-Viking systems. According to developers, the extent of destruction of aerodynamic targets (strategic and tactical aircraft, drones, helicopters, etc.) can reach 100 km and a height of 30 km.

Ballistic missiles are dropped at distances of up to 40 km and a height of up to 25 km, respectively. At the same time, two missiles can be directed to one target at a time. And launches vertically.

On one launch pad, there are four 9M83MA missiles.

The duration of preparation of missiles for use is only 7.5 seconds. The interval between rocket launch is 1.5 seconds.

Block launch pad with rocket 50 tons. Top speed – 60 km / h. Standby speed – 500 km. At the same time, the fuel stays for 6 hours of operation. Crew – consists of two people.
