US President Donald Trump said Friday that the United States is not yet ready for a trade deal with China.

"We are not yet ready for a deal," Trump told reporters, noting that the United States is still in dialogue with China.

"We will see if there will be a meeting in September. This was the worst year in 35 years."

US President Donald Trump announced on August 1 that the United States plans on September 1 to impose a 10 percent duty on goods from China with a total value of $ 300 billion. Against this backdrop, the People's Bank of China has devalued the yuan against the dollar to its lowest level since December last year. The US Treasury later listed China as a currency manipulator and said it would go to the IMF.
