The ice covered parts of southeast Australia on Saturday 10 August as a cold wave continued.
In the New South Wales town of Orange, about 250 km west of Sydney, residents enjoyed the ice as they pelted each other with snowballs on the white carpet and formed "snowman" figures.
The meteorological office warned that the atmosphere will continue until Sunday, 11 August. According to "Reuters".
