Lebanese President Michel Aoun was able to bring together the two parties to the conflict, Progressive Socialist Party Chairman Walid Jumblatt, and Democratic Party President MP Talal Arslan, during a reconciliation meeting held in Baabda Palace on Saturday in the presence of Prime Minister Saad Hariri and Parliament Speaker Nabih Berri.
After the meeting between the Lebanese political leaders, the head of the Progressive Socialist Party, Walid Jumblatt, toured the incident area in Qabrishmoun.
A video was posted on social media showing Jumblatt driving his own car, the latter deliberately taking the road to Qabrishmoun.
Regarding the meeting of openness and reconciliation, the Lebanese Prime Minister, Saad Hariri, pointed out that the meeting condemned the orchard incident, which is now in the custody of the military judiciary and in the light of the results of the investigations, the Cabinet takes the appropriate decision.
Hariri stressed that "the cabinet will hold a meeting on Saturday at 11 am in Baabda Palace and reconciliation has been and from now on we open a new page in which all the best for the benefit of the citizen."
The Speaker of the House of Representatives Nabih Berri that "what happened accomplished."
