In the face of changing conditions of arms trade, Russia is changing the strategy of exporting its military products to other countries. President Vladimir Putin announced that Russia is developing a new strategy for military (technical) military cooperation with other countries.

As for the demand for technology transfer, the retired military expert Anton Lavrov noted that this demand has become global, so it is impossible to sell large quantities of sophisticated weapons without the transfer of technology.
For his part, strategist Ruslan Bukhov points to the existence of a full number of technologies that Russia does not seem ready to be handed over only to certain countries.

At the same time, competition among arms sellers is growing. According to a US report, by the year 2029, the US F-16 and F-35 fighter jets will remove Russian Sukhoi fighters to third place on the list of the most popular warplanes in the world market.
