This came as the city suffered from a severe heat wave, with record temperatures, which many say are caused by global warming.
The protesters were members of the Expedition Rebellion, a civil disobedience movement that began in Britain, and the traffic on the Soli bridge in central Paris, the agency said, in the latest protest activity on climate in northern and western Europe.
A police officer said at the scene that about 90 people took part in the protest while the movement said the number of participants was 200, according to "Reuters."
The French Meteorological Agency said earlier on Friday that the country had recorded a record high temperature three times the same day, as central and southern Europe suffered a severe heat wave.
