European Union: "Vienna meeting" confirms the maintenance of the nuclear agreement

Breaking news-

The European Union confirmed that today's meeting in Vienna of the foreign ministers of the signatories to the nuclear agreement with Iran, agreed to maintain the agreement and continue discussions on lifting sanctions on Iran.

Cairo – .. The meeting, co-chaired by Helga-Maria Schmid, deputy EU foreign policy chief, reiterated the need to maintain a comprehensive joint action plan (the nuclear agreement), and that nuclear obligations and sanctions were lifted, the EU said in a statement on Sunday (July 28th). Are two essential parts of the Agreement.

"The participants in the Vienna meeting stressed their strong support and collective responsibility for the nuclear projects, especially the Arak and Purdue reactors, which are essential within the overall joint work plan to ensure the peaceful character of Iran's nuclear program."

Britain, France, Germany, Russia, China and Iran have been trying to salvage the deal since the United States withdrew from it in May 2018 and reinstated and toughened sanctions against Iran, tying Iran's already weakened economy.

The Europeans say any Iranian violation of the agreement will rise from confrontation at a time when Washington and Tehran risk sliding into war because of a small error in the calculations.

So far, Iran has exceeded its stockpile of enriched uranium and the enrichment threshold by 3.67 percent purity under an agreement with world powers in defiance of European warnings to abide by the agreement despite US sanctions.
