
The Iraqi Energy Police announced on Sunday the repelling of an attack by the terrorist organization "Da'ash" (banned in Russia and a number of countries in the world) on the fields of Olas oil in Salah al-Din.
"Our heroes in the fields of Salah al-Din (the mountains of Aalas) and mobile headquarters are repulsing cowardly gangs," the police said in a statement published by the Iraqi newspaper Alsumaria News.
"The gangs tried to get close to the fields, but our forearms prevented that, and they were strongly deterred," she said.
A security source reported on Sunday to repel an armed attack on the Ajil field police battalion in Salah al-Din, according to Alsumaria.
Iraq announced the liberation of its territory from the organization "calling" terrorist end of 2017, and the reconstruction of liberated areas.
