Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Sergei Ryabkov said Monday that Russia agrees with the United States of America to establish a consultative mechanism for economic cooperation.
.. Russian President Vladimir Putin and his US counterpart Donald Trump agreed at their last meeting at the G20 summit in Osaka to establish a consultative mechanism for economic cooperation, Ryabkov said at the International Dialogue Club.
The Deputy Russian Foreign Minister that the leaders of the two countries touched on economic cooperation during the meeting, stressing that the interests of US companies and businessmen did not decline in the Russian market despite sanctions.
Ryabkov said:
We have already expressed many concrete proposals and ideas on how to give momentum to work in this sector as well (the trade-economic sector) … It seems that we have succeeded in Osaka in making sufficient progress in establishing a bilateral business council or consultative mechanism on this agenda, Make recommendations to governments to find solutions that will move this rock away from its location.
On Friday, June 28, the Russian and US presidents met on the sidelines of the G20 summit in Osaka, Japan, for a two-and-a-half-hour bilateral meeting.
On June 28 and 29, Osaka hosted the summit of the "Big 20" group this year. Member States face many economic and political challenges, and this will be the first G20 summit hosted by Japan.
