Lebanon witnessed a new security incident that nearly ignited the internal war between the Lebanese after an armed clash and a Lebanese minister was shot during a car tour in Mount Lebanon.
Al-Siyassah newspaper reported that the mountain incident that had caused confusion in the tourist situation in Mount Lebanon led some tourists to leave their hotels and homes in that area for fear of their lives and their families.
The newspaper pointed out that the cases of heavy leave for Gulfs recorded in the past two days from the Aley area adjacent to the area of Kabrishmoun where the incident occurred.
The convoy of the Minister of State for Displaced Affairs Saleh al-Gharib was shot in the area of Qabershmoun, Aley, during a protest by supporters of the Progressive Socialist Party on the tour of Free Patriotic Movement leader and Foreign Minister Gibran Bassil to the region, which led to the deaths of two of the companions of Minister Saleh al-Gharib.
