Russian President Vladimir Putin said on Saturday that Russia had never intended to carry out acts of aggression against any country, but would always act similarly in its relations with its foreign partners. He said in a meeting with British Prime Minister Theresa May, Which complicates relations between the two countries.
"We had no intention of carrying out any acts of aggression against anyone," Putin said at the final press conference, commenting on May's remarks, "It is the illusion that it is the desire to give what is aspired to be true, – is to obtain a kind of external adversary, whose presence allows to resolve internal political issues. "We have no aggressive intentions toward anyone."
According to the Russian leader, during the meeting, Mai said: "Its position is fairly strict," adding: "I told her the Russian position on a number of exciting problems of our relations."
"Russia's actions with respect to our foreign partners will always be the same – they treat us as well, we will deal with everyone, I want everyone to remember that," Putin said.
Russian President Vladimir Putin said earlier that Moscow and London needed to turn the page of spies and assassinations into their relations.
Russian-British relations are currently in their worst state after London accused Moscow of orchestrating the poisoning of former Russian intelligence sergeant Sergey Scrippel and his daughter in Salisbury on March 4. Russia has denied any involvement in the incident, accusing the British side of fabricating the incident to discredit Russia.
