Prince Bandar bin Abdul Aziz, the brother of King Salman bin Abdul Aziz, and the father of Prince Faisal bin Bandar, Prince of Riyadh, died on Sunday, Saudi newspapers reported.
A statement was issued by the Royal Saudi Court confirming the death, and that the funeral prayer will be held on ambar, Bandar bin Abdul Aziz Al Saud, Sunday afternoon.
The statement said: "He went to the mercy of God this Saturday, 3/3/1435 H. HRH Prince Bandar bin Mohammed bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, at the age of (79) years and will pray, God willing, after the Sunday afternoon prayers 4 (3/1435 AH) in Imam Turki bin Abdullah mosque in the city of Riyadh, may God protect him with his mercy, forgiveness and satisfaction, and make him dwell in paradise, and we will return to him. "
The late Prince is the tenth son of King Abdul Aziz Al Saud, and has not held any official position in the state.
