"In the meantime, our teams will meet to work on some solutions to the long-standing problems," Trump said in a tweet on Twitter. "We are not in a hurry, but I am confident we will eventually arrive."
North Korean official media reported that President Kim Jong-un and US President Donald Trump agreed at their meeting on Sunday to press ahead with a dialogue for a new breakthrough to free the Korean Peninsula from nuclear weapons.
Kim was quoted as saying by the official Korean Central News Agency (KCNA) that his good personal relationship with Trump made it possible to hold such a meeting one day later and that the relationship with Trump would continue to produce good results.
Trump said on Sunday after meeting with North Korean leader Kim Jong-un that they had a very impressive meeting.
Trump announced that he and Kim would exchange a state visit at the appropriate time, noting that he had invited Kim to visit the White House.
