A new batch of US weapons arrives in eastern Syria

At dawn today, the US military transported a new shipment of weapons loaded with more than 200 trucks to Syrian territory.

The correspondent of "." in al-Hasakah that the shipment of weapons introduced by the US occupation forces entered the Syrian territory through the Simalka crossing towards the areas of control of the SDF loyal to them northeast of Syria.

The correspondent quoted informed Kurdish sources in the city of Qamishli confirmed the entry of more than 200 trucks carrying the plates "Arbil" Iraq, loaded with weapons and military equipment and logistics, provided by the forces of the "International Coalition" led by the US military to organize "SDF" in northeast Syria.

The correspondent added that these trucks entered last night from the Tunisian crossing "Simalka" river countryside in the city of al-Malikiyah northeast of Hasaka province with the Kurdistan region of Iraq, and arrived after midnight to the city of Qamishli north of Hasaka.

The sources pointed out that the shipment of new weapons will be distributed to the sites of the organization "SDF" in the eastern region of Syria.

The arrival of this new convoy of weapons and military equipment coincides with an unprecedented Turkish military build-up on the Syrian border, and a few days after the arrival of a similar US convoy of weapons to the city of Qamishli.

It also comes two days after Washington and Ankara announced an agreement to establish a joint coordinating center in Turkey to establish a safe area within Syrian territory as a gateway for the return of Syrian refugees.

By establishing this region, Ankara seeks to cut off several cities and towns in the north of Syria and transfer Syrian refugees to Turkish territory, including more than 80,000 who have acquired Turkish citizenship, in preparation for its annexation to Turkey, which at the same time seeks to control an area in northeastern Syria. The richest oil reserves, which would control if supported by the recent deteriorating Turkish economy and save the popularity of Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan after losing the municipal elections in Istanbul twice in a row.
