Syrian President Bashar al-Assad on Sunday participated in the Eid al-Adha prayer held at the Efram Mosque in Damascus.
Syrian President Mufti Badr al-Din Hassoun, Prime Minister Imad Khamis and a number of Syrian officials participated in the Eid al-Adha prayer.
The Syrian news agency "SANA" the occasion of the Eid, in which Sheikh Awad delivered the Eid sermon in which he stressed the meanings of the Eid, which teaches man to face affliction with patience and faith and entrench the values of sacrifice for the sake of the homeland and the dignity of the nation and the integrity of the country and that the love of the homeland and honor the martyrs and the wounded .
Sheikh Awad addressed President al-Assad, saying, "I have led the country in the darkest conditions and hours, so we proved with you and stood firm and steadfast in you. God will help you and the nation's victory over terrorism will be cherished by the sacrifices of our brave army, which is fighting the fiercest battles against terrorists and their supporters."
It is noteworthy that the Syrian President, Bashar al-Assad, participates annually in Eid prayers by performing in various liberated areas of Syria.
