The UN Security Council held a closed-door meeting at which Western partners were briefed on the outcome of the Astana talks on Syria in Norsultan, Russia's acting ambassador to the United Nations, Dmitry Poliansky, said Friday.

"It was a meeting on the last round of negotiations in Nuristan," Polianski told reporters.

He noted that the Security Council was briefed on the results of the latest round of talks, adding: "We do not hide anything, and welcome attention to the Astana formula."
