PARIS (Reuters) – Brazilian striker Neymar will not play for Ligue 1 champions PSG on Sunday, the French champions said on Saturday.
Another club source said PSG were hoping for a quick decision on Neymar's future in the French capital.
"We have to make a quick decision. We are still in discussions to see if he will stay with the team or leave," he said, noting the importance of "keeping the team focused in the league."
"Neymar is not in full fitness," the source added. According to "Reuters".
The Qatari-owned club have won the Ligue 1 title in six of their last seven seasons, with Monaco being the only team to have left the base in the 2016-2017 season.
Sports director Leonardo Araujo, returning for a second term, said Neymar could leave if there was a buyer.
Neymar joined PSG from Barcelona in 2017 in a deal worth 222 million euros ($ 248.60 million). But the injury haunted him at St Germain to miss important Champions League matches.
