The representative of the Russian Center for Reconciliation in Syria, Andrei Kharlamov, announced the opening of a summer camp for children in Aleppo with the support of the Russian army, which helped the organizers of the camp to provide the necessary food.

Rana Youssef, head of the Education and Vanguards Office in the Aleppo branch of the Baath Party, said: "Children between the ages of 6 and 12, most of them children of Syrian Army soldiers killed during the war, are resting in this camp."

The opening ceremony was attended by Russian officers from the Reconciliation Center.

"The role of the reconciliation center in this event is to provide meals for children in the camp and distribute humanitarian aid, but that is not all we do. We are also trying to be principally involved," Kharlamov said.

All kinds of possible departments and sections were opened in the camp, in addition to scientific groups in which talented children are prepared to participate in international competitions and Olympics.

Chancellor Yara Kaskin said: "We are trying to surround the children with warmth and care so that they do not feel lonely and lost after this difficult war which has taken from most of these young people closest to them."
