
Yemen's interior ministry on Friday called on civilians to stay at home and stay away from clashes between the army and the UAE-backed Transitional Council in the interim capital of Aden.

The Yemeni news agency Saba, which broadcasts from Riyadh and Aden, quoted an official source in the Ministry of Interior as saying that the state and its security and military agencies will not tolerate their duty to protect civilians and property and provide security and stability in Aden.
The source renewed the call, "armed groups outside the law and order to arbitrate reason and withdraw from the streets and stop tampering with civilian lives and public and private property and disturb tranquility."
In a related context, sources told "." that social figures are making efforts to declare a truce between the legitimate government forces and military formations of the Transitional Council for five days, in observance of Eid al-Adha.
According to the sources, there was no response from the parties regarding the proposal for a truce.
