The Yemeni army of the legitimate government announced on Friday, the restoration of strategic positions from the control of the group "Ansar Allah" (Houthis), in the province of Saada border with Saudi Arabia.

He explained that "the field progress following a lightning and rapid operation launched by highly trained combat units on the positions of the Houthis stationed in the rest of the mountain heights surrounding the center of the epaulet."
"A number of Houthi elements were killed and others were wounded in the lightning operation," he said.
He pointed to "the continuation of clashes and artillery shelling on the sites of the Houthis holed up in the valley of Fahlwin, in conjunction with the intensive flight of Arab coalition fighters."
Saudi Arabia has been leading a military alliance to support President Hadi's forces to restore the country's rule since March 26, 2015, against the Houthis who control the capital Sanaa.
To date, the bloody conflict in Yemen has led to the displacement of hundreds of thousands of people from their homes, cities and villages, the spread of infectious and famine diseases in some areas, and significant destruction of the country's infrastructure.
It also resulted, according to statistics of UN bodies and organizations, killing and injuring hundreds of thousands of civilians, as well as the deterioration of the humanitarian situation and the spread of diseases and epidemics, especially cholera, and the decline in the size of cash reserves.
