A number of countries in the Middle East and North Africa are interested in buying the new model from the Russian military transport plane "EL-76".
The Russian Federation of Military Technical Cooperation said on Thursday that the new model is named "IL-76 MD-90A".

The company, which manufactures the aircraft, "Iloshn", earlier, that the first contract to export the new model of the plane abroad, may be concluded in the near future.
Russian airliner Russ AuburnExport described the plane's specifications as "El-76 MD-90A".
The site pointed out that it is a multi-mission aircraft that can transfer troops and military equipment and secure lines of supply of troops in remote areas, in addition to the possibility of use in the evacuation of wounded in time of war and participate in the fight against fires.
Fighting armies can use the aircraft to take down paratroopers, and can carry 126 full-length paratroopers, according to the Russian site Iloshn.

The weight of the aircraft on take-off is 210 tons, while its weight at the landing is 170 tons.
The aircraft can carry equipment and personnel with a total weight of up to 60 tons. Inside the aircraft, there is a storage space of 24.5 * 3.45 * 3.4 meters, with a capacity of 321 m3.
