Iranian leader Ali Khamenei on Saturday sent a message to pilgrims standing on Mount Arafa.
Khamenei said in his letter that the Palestinian issue is the most important issue for the Islamic world and that America and its aides are laying the groundwork for the deal of the century and it is not only a crime against the Palestinians but also against humanity.
"The trick called the deal of the century, which is being paved by the unjust America and its traitors, is a crime not only against the Palestinian people, but also against human society," the Iranian leader was quoted as saying by state television.
He added: "We call on everyone to participate actively to thwart this cunning and cunning by the enemy." The television said the letter was read at a gathering of Iranian pilgrims.
Saudi officials have asked pilgrims to focus on the pilgrimage and warned against using it for political ends amid war in the region and growing tensions between Saudi Arabia and Iran.
The White House has yet to unveil the whole of US President Donald Trump's Middle East peace plan, which aims to end the conflict between Israel and the Palestinians and is being drafted by his son-in-law and adviser Jared Kushner.
Kushner has so far presented only a $ 50 billion investment plan to revive the economy in the Palestinian territories, Jordan, Egypt and Lebanon, depending on Israel and the Palestinians reaching a political settlement to their decades-old conflict.
